Laying of top coat

We have had good weather this week and it has helped the topcoat of the roads to bed down

The small roller couldn't cope with the amount of work it had to do so we had to get a larger roller!!

Laying turf in the middle section of Meadow Crocus

Installation of chestnut fencing


We has installed the new chestnut fencing to separate the main field campsite with the new Meadow Crocus area. You can see the electricity boards vehicles are on pitches 9 & 10 on Meadow Crocus.

The pitches have now been turfed and are waiting for the top coat to finish off the roads. To give you an idea of the lenght of the new superpitches in Meadow Crocus. The electricity boards van is parked in the middle of pitch 9 in Meadow Crocus. This van is over 6 metres long, and it isn't parked at the back of the pitch, so you can see the pitch will be able to easily accommodate upto an 8 metre touring caravan.

Electricity board have arrived!!!

Really important day!!!

The electricity board have been commissioned to install a new 3 phase electricity supply on the camping field. This is a very big project and will involve the whole electricity boards lines crew once the installtion gets underway.

Over the last few weeks we have had alot of heavy rain and it has halted all ground works. But the weather has begun to improve, so we should be able to lay the top coat of the roadways soon.

The stream has now been edged on both sides by the chestnut fencing and we are preparing to plant new shrubs to create a natural habitat for the wildlife

The new chestnut fencing has been laid on the perimeter of Meadow Bluesbell and we will begin planting soon.

Preparing ground for new fencing


We are preparing the ground in preparation for the new chestnut fencing. This is natural wood and we hope it will create a lovely feature as well as protecting the stream edge which is a natural habitat for wildlife.
